A winter holiday trip to Heureka
We are open with extended opening hours during weeks 8 and 9, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Sat-Sun 10am-6pm.
During the winter holiday weeks, we organize science theater shows and walk-in laboratories. For a more detailed schedule, please check the calendar on the website and the Heureka displays on the day of your visit.
The Giants of the Ice Age exhibition is now open!
Travel 14,000 years back in time with us! The Giants of the Ice Age exhibition is finally open. Almost twenty life-size animal robots await the visitor at the exhibition - including a mammoth and a saber-toothed cat.
All exhibitions with one ticket
You should reserve 2–4 hours for a visit to Heureka, because we have plenty to do! In the exhibitions, we have the fascinating Our Journey in Space , the brain-stimulating Artificial Intelligence – Me, Myself & AI , the all-time favorites Heureka Classics , Electri City , Circular Factory , The Idea Workshop , Science on a Sphere , The Wind in the Bowels and the all-time favorites of the main exhibition area , such as the Tightrope Cycling and Foucalt's Pendulum!
The planetarium is closed, the rats are also on vacation
We will open a completely renovated and state-of-the-art planetarium at the end of 2025. Even better conditions for the rats is also being renovated, so the rat shows will be on hiatus until the beginning of 2025.
Events during winter
In March, we will be organizing a Chemistry Night event for the whole family on Thursday, March 6th at 16–22..
Lunch every day
The Science Restaurant's hearty lunch includes a daily changing selection of hot main dishes, soup, salad bar, bread and food drinks (including coffee and tea). In addition, the Science Restaurant offers e.g. Science Snack Menu, delicious savory coffee sandwiches, sweet pastries, snacks and various coffees and teas.

Winter holiday science camps
During the winter holiday week 8 (17.2.–21.2.), our popular two-day science camps are organized again. Tickets are on sale 9.12.2024–7.2.2025. The camps are in Finnish.

The Planetarium is closed
We will open a fully renovated and state-of-the-art Planetarium in late 2025.

Thursday evening ticket for 10 €
Note! The discount does not apply to Thursday evenings 20.2., 27.2., 17.4., 1.5., 29.5., summer season 23.6.–10.8., 16.10. and 25.12. On Thursdays from 15:00–20:00, all entrance tickets are 10 €/each. Children under 5 years of age can enter Heureka free of charge accompanied by a guardian.
